The Comeback Star: Natasha Oon’s Journey of Resilience

I’m honored to share a recent custom piece we created for LPGA rising star Natasha Oon.
Getting to know Natasha and her mom made this project even more meaningful. Her mom shared that Natasha started playing golf when she was only four years old. By age twelve, she had already made a hole-in-one in Malaysia, and won a Volvo car for it.

As her mom shared the story, her eyes lit up with pride and joy. In that moment, it was easy to feel how much Natasha’s journey has meant; not just as a golfer’s dream, but as a family’s love, sacrifice, and belief carried through the years.

Natasha’s path to the world stage has been shaped by both extraordinary talent and real resilience.

Born in Jakarta and raised in Malaysia, she showed promise from a very young age. She later became a standout at San Jose State, winning her first college tournament on her 17th birthday. Her professional path continued to rise after a strong Epson Tour season, where she earned Rookie of the Year honors and secured her LPGA Tour card.
But like many great stories, hers has not been a straight climb.

A persistent sesamoid foot injury put her career on hold and eventually required surgery. During that long recovery, Natasha had to wait, rebuild, and rediscover joy outside of competition — from singing karaoke to hiking in Yosemite as she tested her foot again.
Her return has been full of energy, personality, and heart. From highlight-reel eagles to unpredictable scorecards filled with birdies, bogeys, and big moments, Natasha plays with a spark that feels completely her own. After a difficult season of injury and uncertainty, she now carries a new sense of calm and gratitude — simply enjoying the game she worked so hard to return to.

Beyond golf, Natasha is also a gifted singer. She is hardworking, talented, and full of light — someone who truly shines like a star. That became the inspiration behind her custom headcovers.

For Natasha, we personalized our Lumière High Contrast Indigo Denim Driver and fairway wood Cover with her initial “N” and a star icon engraved on the star leather patch. The denim gives the piece a raw, timeless texture, while the leather details bring contrast, warmth, and individuality. The design reflects her story: strong, expressive, resilient, and bright. This cover is a tribute to the long game — the patience, craft, and quiet strength it takes to keep going.

Natasha Oon is back playing on her own terms, and we’re grateful to create something that celebrates her journey.
